HISHIPLATE™ General Purpose PVC Sheets

Introduction

HISHIPLATE™ NEWTECH™ Continuous-presse) grade and HISHIPLATE™ 101E Extrusion grade PVC (Poly-Vinyl Chloride) sheets are useful for many applications since it is a low-cost material with good all-around properties of chemical, mechanical, electrical insulation strengths, inherent flame retardancy and transparency if needed. Most other transparent materials lack the wide chemical resistance of PVC, which leads to frequent replacements when the wrong type of material is applied.

PVC has extremely low toxicity at ambient temperatures and is biologically-safe for food processing and direct human contact. Mitsubishi Chemical Infratec’s HISHIPLATE™ products do not contain the toxic compounds as prescribed under the EU’s Directive on the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS). The range includes sheets, round bars, profiles and matching welding rods.

Features

  • Low cost, good mechanical strengths, high workability and glossy surface, make HISHIPLATE™ grades an easy choice for machine exteriors and precision parts, fabricated by welding, thermo-forming, bonding, fastening, precision machining.

  • Transparency with strong chemical resistance means PVC is often the only or best choice for visibility into tanks, control panels, covers, etc in chemical environments.

  • Food and physiologically safe

  • Naturally self-extinguishing (UL 94V-0), flame-retardant additives not required.

  • High electrical insulation properties

Applications

  • General precision machined parts

  • Tanks, chemical process equipment, chemical exhaust & air-scrubbers, containment systems

  • Food production, Pharmaceutical processing equipment; waste water equipment

  • Electrical insulation components in power distribution panels
