RISHOLITE® Molded Tubes and Rods
Introduction
RISHOLITE® Molded Tubes and Rods are made through the process of heat and pressure curing of prepregs (Paper, Cotton or Glass fabric impregnated with thermoset resin) in a metal mold. Risho produces a maximum diameter up to 70 mm and a standard length of 1000 mm with this process, compliant with the JIS standard.
RISHOLITE® molded tubes achieve a higher density and different characteristics from those made by lamination; while RISHOLITE® rods are only made by molding.
RISHOLITE® Molded Phenolic Tubes and Rods
Reinforcement Materials: Paper, fine woven fabric, extra-fine woven fabric, canvas.
Features
Excellent electrical properties for insulation parts in transformers, switchgears etc
Better suited for fine processing; excellent for impact resistance.
Temperature tolerance up to 110 deg C
Applications
Electrical applications are insulating bushings and sleeves, actuator arms, etc
Mechanical grades provide hard-wearing, long service life for spinning parts, bearing seats, slides, bobbins, rollers; Graphite or Molybdenum can be added for higher resistance to abrasion.
RISHOLITE® Molded Epoxy Tubes and Rods
Reinforcement Materials: Glass or synthetic fabric, Paper
Features
Higher electrical properties than Phenolic based materials for insulation parts in transformers, switchgears etc
Ideal for fine processing; excellent impact resistance.
Temperature tolerance up to 180 deg C
Applications
Electrical insulation, Cryogenic to mid-temperature heat insulation, chemical resistant and mechanical parts
